"As a returning student, my decision to enter into Health Information Technology has been extremely rewarding. While healthcare has many different types of directions, choosing just one area of study was difficult. That's when I realized that Health Information Technology was for me. It taps into everything! Understanding medical language and classifications of diseases to auditing and analysis of medical information are only a few areas that an HIT student learns. There are many new opportunities for this field and I am excited to say that it took me just six weeks after graduating this past May to accept full-time employment, right here in Broome County!"
