Work experience
Since graduating from Le Moyne College in 1996, I have been teaching
ESL (English as a Second Language) for the Binghamton City School
District. I work with students in kindergarten and first grade
from countries all over the world. After receiving my Master's
degree in 2001, I began teaching courses (undergraduate and graduate
level) at SUNY Cortland in the Literacy Department. I am very
excited about teaching in the teacher education program at BCC.
Philosophy statement
Education is like putting together a quilt. First, you have a
stack of all different types of fabric that do not look like
they will ever fit together. Then, with a needle and thread made
of things such as enthusiasm, compassion, and knowledge, you
sew those pieces together until you have a beautiful quilt in
front of you.
