Students, please call me
.. Teresa
Courses I usually teach: Field Experience, Working with
Parents in Early Childhood Education, Introduction to Education,
and Foundations of Education
Background: I have been in the field of education for
six years. I grew up in this area, attending Johnson City High
School.
Education: I have a B.A in history from Binghamton University,
as well as an MPA in Educational Policy (Master of Public Administration)
and an MAT in Social Studies (Master of Arts in Teaching).
Work Experience: I have worked at various school districts
in various subjects. I obtained my permanent certification this
past year. I have also worked for the Department of Social Services
and Catholic Charities.
Philosophy Statement: I believe that children at a very
early age can be taught to be independent thinkers and interested
learners. The teacher's role in this process is pivotal; as such,
teachers need to be actively involved in professional reflection
and development.
Oher info - I love to read, write, and watch silent films.
I have recently finished my first novel and hope to get it published.
